Avanti West Coast customers can now book their tickets for Christmas and New Year's travel.
The train operator has released its best fares for travel dates up to January 3, 2025, allowing customers to book their festive journeys 12 weeks in advance.
This early release includes all ticket types, including the cheapest advance tickets.
The early release of tickets allows those planning a family getaway during the Christmas holidays, or a visit to the panto and Christmas markets, to secure the best-value fares.
Standard Class single fares to and from London include Liverpool (£25), Manchester (£36.50), Warrington (£33.50) and Runcorn (£22).
Adding to these savings, Avanti West Coast has removed peak restrictions from December 20 to January 5, allowing customers more flexibility and access to better value fares over the festive period.
Sarah Copley, executive director for commercial at Avanti West Coast, said: "Connecting people and places is what we’re all about and releasing our tickets for Christmas travel dates is great news for our customers who are planning those important journeys over the festive period.
"Whether it’s friends and families wanting to get together at home or enjoy time away during the Christmas holidays, they can do this with our best value fares and the added benefit of more flexibility."
However, customers should be aware that services will finish earlier on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve and will start later on December 27 and New Year’s Day.
Additionally, Network Rail is set to complete several upgrades on the West Coast Main Line between December 23 and January 4.
This means journeys during this period may be affected, with customers strongly advised to plan ahead and check before they travel.
Furthermore, major rail upgrades taking place over Christmas and New Year affecting journeys into London Paddington and London St Pancras will mean trains to and from London Euston will be extremely busy.
For a more comfortable journey, customers should consider travelling to or from London Euston before December 24 or from January 2.
