A MAN from Warrington has been charged with rape at a music festival.
The allegation dates back seven years to the summer of 2017 at Leeds Festival.
Jordan Williams has now been charged with rape and sexual assault.
The 25-year-old, of Gerrard Avenue in Bewsey, is due to make a first appearance in relation to the charges before Leeds Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday.
The particulars of the charges allege that Williams committed rape and sexual assault at Leeds Festival between August 25 and 28, 2017.
They allege that sexual activity with a woman was committed without her consent.
The annual music festival is staged in Bramham Park, located between Leeds, York and Wetherby.
