Firefighters called out after smell of burning reported coming from property
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a property following reports of a smell of burning.
Crews attended the scene on Mardale Avenue in Orford at around 1.20pm today, Wednesday.
They found a laundry basket had been placed on top of a cooker, causing it to melt.
The crew removed the basket and ventilated the property using a high-pressure fan.
One fire engine from Warrington attended.
