BIG Brother housemate Lily burst into tears after a challenge and gushed about how much she loves the Warrington Chinese takeaway she works in.

Lily Benson is a 20-year-old from Warrington who entered the Big Brother House on Sunday night.

The Chinese takeaway worker has already become a topic of discussion across social media, with some viewers branding her an icon.

An early favourite to win, Lily hasn’t been quite as popular with some of her housemates, with Sarah even asking her if she has Tourette’s due to her excitable outbursts.

Despite this, the Warringtonian seems to be thriving in the challenges, having been cooped up in ‘storage’ away from the main house.

Deemed as non-housemates, the group have had to compete for a place in the Big Brother house and avoid eviction.

Lily finally got her chance to compete for a place in the main house against the other non-housemates in storage yesterday, Tuesday.

The group had to raise their hands and hold them there, with the last housemate standing saving themselves from eviction and ‘storage’, where they’ve been sleeping on the floor.

Although some housemates gave up after just 30 minutes, Lily was still standing an impressive two hours and 24 minutes against just one other person, Daze.

“Are you going to fall out with me after this,” she asked Daze.

“No, I’m not, but I’d much rather you allow me to go to bed in the other place, I’m so sorry,” Daze replied.

Towards the end of the challenge, those in the main house noted how sad Lily appeared, and that she would probably be selfless and give up so Daze could go to bed.

“I think Lily might give up for Daze,” said Sarah.

“They’re very close and just now Lily was like ‘are you upset with me’, and this is the first time I’ve seen her like solemn.

“Doesn’t Lily look upset? We’ve never seen her look like that.”

Although she appeared to have more stamina left in her, Lily selflessly threw the challenge after Daze promised to bring the 20-year-old with her if she was allowed to.

“I promise at any opportunity I would always bring you Lil,” she said.

“I absolutely promise. If I had any opportunity I would.”

When Lily lowered her hand, Daze was crowned the winner of the task, but Lily immediately burst into tears.

The women comforted each other as Big Brother announced Daze could select two other non-housemates to join her in the main house and avoid the first public vote, during which she chose Lily.

While her selfless act earned respect from the housemates it did raise question marks around Daze’s tactics, with Nathan coming to Lily’s defence in the diary room later that evening.

“Daze and Lily’s a funny one, in terms of Daze’s reaction to a few things during the task when it was the two of them left,” he told Big Brother.

“I didn’t like it I must be honest. The tactics she used to try and get Lily to put her hand down, I just didn’t agree with it.”

Daze’s tactics didn’t seem to bother Lily though, as when she arrived in the main house her excited screams echoed around the building.

“You’ve had peace and tranquillity,” said Dean as Lily screamed in the bedroom.

“Not anymore.”

When she calmed down, she settled into the garden and got to know fellow housemate, Ali.

Although she’s yet to say which takeaway it is she works in, Lily gushed about how much she loves working there and all the food it sells that she enjoys.

“I work in a Chinese takeaway,” she said.

“I love it, I’ve worked there since I was 14. So, I can get like vegetarian spring rolls, crispy wonton, barbeque honey ribs, salt and pepper chicken, salt and pepper chips, crispy shredded chilli beef, kung pao sauce separate.

“Noodles with bean sprouts, boiled rice, portion of chips on the side and prawn crackers and prawn toast.

“You can come to my Chinese, and I’ll order it.”

Big Brother is on at 9pm every day on ITV2, and available to stream on ITVX.
