THESE shocking pictures show damage to a car that was torched in Orford in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to Greenwood Crescent at 2.30am where they found a car was on fire.
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters put the blaze out using a hose reel jet.
Cheshire Police have confirmed that the fire is being treated as deliberate and that enquiries into the incident are continuing.
The owner of the vehicle is also urging anyone who saw anything unusual to report it to officers. He says that his wife is disabled and that she is now housebound due to the car being torched.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “The fire is being treated as deliberate. Enquiries are continuing.
“Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting IML 1935185.
“Alternatively, information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
