AN inspiring Warrington resident has won an award in recognition of a business he launched which has created jobs for people with Down Syndrome.
Ross Laing received the Entrepreneur of Excellence Award at this year’s National Diversity Awards in association with HSCBC.
Back in October 2021, Ross, who has never shied away from standing out, and his brother Christian launched Stand Out Socks during Down Syndrome Awareness Month.

Winners at the National Diversity Awards were announced on October 4 in a ceremony at the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral.
The awards were hosted by broadcaster, author, presenter and journalist Clare Balding.
More than 90,000 nominees and 125 finalists in 15 categories were named in recognition of their dedication to advancing equality, diversity and inclusion.
Talking about his win, Ross said: “Thank you so much for believing in me and Stand Out Socks.”
Paul Sesay, CEO of Inclusive Companies, and founder of the National Diversity Awards, said: “The National Diversity Awards honour the unsung heroes transforming lives and perceptions through their unwavering commitment.
