POLICE are investigating after a car was set on fire in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Greenwood Crescent at around 2.30am.

Crews found that a car was on fire.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters put the blaze out using a hose reel jet.

One fire engine attended the scene.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “The fire is being treated as deliberate. Enquiries are continuing.

“Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting IML 1935185.
