FILM crews took over Orford at the weekend as they were spotted in the streets and at a closed down pub.
It comes as Hollywood stars have been seen in various locations in the town over the last few weeks.
It is believed this is to film for a new title Anemone.
Pickering Crescent in Thelwall recently welcomed Sean Bean, who is said to be playing the role of an ex-soldier, as well as Daniel Day-Lewis, the three-time Academy Award winner retired in 2017 but is set to take to the screen once again, and Samantha Morton.
Last week, the Warrington Guardian reported that road closures would be in place in October to allow for filming.
This is through the publishing of a Road Traffic Regulation Act temporary prohibition of driving order and Pickering Crescent was closed last Tuesday, while Cotswold Road and Chiltern Road in Orford were closed on Sunday.
Lee Murphy was able to capture the stars and film crews in action on Poplars Avenue and Capesthorne Road.
Camera crews and their equipment and vehicles can be seen on pictures to be taking over The Poplars, a former pub.
While crews were also spotted outside the Co-op on Capesthorne Road.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Warrington is a wanted area for film crews, with the council stating that it receives ‘multiple enquiries’ each year.
Most recently, cameras were spotted at Walton Hall and Gardens, and back in January, film crews took over Orford for the Sky One comedic drama series Brassic.
