IF you are wanting to fully embrace the spooky season, then look no further than the Halloween Lakeside Trail.

It is hosted at Partridge Lakes in Culcheth where the woodland is transformed by eerie and captivating lights.

We headed to the opening night on Friday.

The trail is packed full of spookiness, with fantastic Halloween decorations lining the lake with everything from witches to clowns to skeletons and more.

The lights themselves are great and make the stunning lake even more of a picturesque setting.

It is definitely an ideal night out for families and there are plenty of interactive activities along the trail, as well as picture opportunities.

Although it isn’t the longest trail, you can make it a full evening as there are food vendors which you can enjoy at either the start or end of the walk.

There is also a cosy seating area under a teepee with heaters where you can enjoy a variety of drinks – including an impressive deluxe hot chocolate.

And to top it off, you can even buy marshmallows to roast.

You’ll definitely feel ready for Halloween after visiting this lakeside trail.

And this year, a terror trail will be ‘taking fear to a new level’ for those aged 14+.

The main trail is on until October 31, with adult tickets at £20 and child tickets (those aged three and over) at £15.

Family tickets for two adults and two children are £69.
