DELAYS are to be expected on the M6 as more emergency repairs are being carried out on Thelwall Viaduct.
One lane has been closed along the northbound carriageway between junction 20 M56 (Lymm Interchange) to junction 21 A57 Manchester Road (Woolston).
This is the same stretch of motorway that saw a lorry fall 60 feet from Thelwall Viaduct on Monday evening.
Lane closures had been lifted on Tuesday as National Highways confirmed emergency repairs had been completed.
However a recent update has confirmed that one lane has closed and traffic is slow along the carriageway as more 'emergency repairs' are under way today, Thursday.
The lane closure is expected to clear by 4.45pm.
