A ROAD in Penketh will remain closed for three more weeks after work is failed to be completed.
Warrington Borough Council ordered the closure of Coronation Drive, in Penketh, which has caused disruption during rush hour for some residents.
This order was to allow Scottish Power to carry out maintenance works and was effective from September 2 to last for four weeks.
The road was closed from its junction with Heath Road to its junction with Warrington Road while Scottish Power carried out maintenance works.
However, due to issues on site the work has not been completed and a three-week extension has been approved.
A diversion roue is in place while the road remains closed directing traffic to Warrington Road and Heath Road to avoid the site.
The road is now set to remain closed until October 20.
