FOUR Warrington businesses have been named among the 'ones to watch' in Cheshire.

The 20 'most promising and exciting' SMEs were chosen by North West Business Insider magazine.

Warrington companies identified as 'aces in the pack' were Room Forty, Raiys, Bowland Consulting (Interiors), and Proicere.

Room Forty, operating from Woolston, is a mobile afternoon tearoom and baking school and one of only a few micro-businesses on the list, employing less than ten people.

Jen Perry, owner and founder of Room Forty, said: "To say I am flabbergasted to be included in the list is an understatement.

"My little business is included alongside tech firms, systems providers, financial analysts, and clever manufacturers.

"This is a very proud moment and came as a complete surprise to me.

"But wow, it feels amazing.

"It goes to show.

"If you have a business dream, follow it."

"Thanks to my team for being the absolute rocks that help me put this unique business together, and to all our customers who book us for afternoon tea parties or baking classes – you’ve kept us going for eight and a half years and more to come."

Raiys provides digital wellbeing solutions, Bowland Consulting (Interiors) operates as consultants in the commercial interiors sector, and Proicere offers project controls and innovative tools to assist in product delivery.
