A FILM crew has taken over a residential street in Thelwall for an exciting new project, starring Sean Bean.
Pickering Crescent was closed today, Tuesday, as a film crew flocked to the residential area in Thelwall.
Sean Bean, best known for his roles in Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings, was spotted filming on the road in September.
He and camera crews were using a house on the street to film and were back again today.
It is believed that the much-loved star was working on a title called Avelyn, and that he is playing the role of an ex-soldier.
The star and film crew were also spotted in Manchester's Northern Quarter, in Stevenson Square, on Sunday.
Rumoured cast members also includes Daniel Day-Lewis and BAFTA Award winner, Samantha Morton.
The Warrington Guardian has been told that the project appears to be set in the 80s.
Pickering Crescent was shut from its junction with Staunton Road to its junction with Woodlands Drive.
Craft services, vans and equipment could be seen on the road, as well as members of crew.
The Warrington Guardian understands that the crew will move on to its next location this weekend.
Both Cotswold Road and Chiltern Road will be shut on Sunday, with the former from its junction with Poplars Avenue to its junction with Cheviot Avenue. The latter will be closed from junctions with Cotswold Road and Lancing Avenue.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Warrington is a wanted area for film crews, with the council stating that it receives ‘multiple enquiries’ each year.
Most recently, cameras were spotted at Walton Hall and Gardens, and back in January, film crews took over Orford for the Sky One comedic drama series Brassic.
