TORRENTIAL rain has hit Warrington today, Monday, with flooding reported across town.
A yellow weather warning from the Met Office is in place until midnight with heavy rain reported all day.
Flooding has been reported under Hawley's Lane in Dallam, a hotspot for the area.
Work has taken place in recent years to mitigate the historic problems in the area.
While Sankey Valley has also seen water spilling out into the neighbouring area.
A number of roads have been affected too.
Chester Road in Daresbury is currently partially blocked in both directions due to flooding.
That is between the A558 Daresbury Expressway and Hobb Lane.
Traffic is reported to be very slow in both directions.
There are also reports of difficulty passing under the canal bridge at Cliff Lane in Grappenhall.
While Massey Brook and Weaste Lane are also impassable in parts.
