TEN pubs in Warrington have been listed as some of the best in the UK in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide 2025.
The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has released its 52nd edition of its Good Beer Guide, with a number of pubs in Warrington making the cut.
Included were previous CAMRA award winner The Albion, on Battersby Lane, and Hop Emporium, in Time Square.
These two pubs are no stranger to the Good Beer Guide, having both made the 2022 and 2023 edition previously.
Also named was Costello’s Bar, in Time Square, which is described as ‘modern’ and ‘eco-friendly’.
Tavern on Church Street is a long-term Guide entry and was noted for its popularity with watching sport on the TV screens inside.
Little Manor on Bell Lane in Thelwall also returned to the Guide this year and is a previous winner of Local CAMRA Pub of the Year.
Highlighted for its scenic location next to the River Mersey, the Ferry Tavern on Station Road in Penketh is also listed.
Brewery Tap, on Bridgewater Street in Lymm, was named Local CAMRA Pub of the Year 2024, and returned for the 2025 edition.
Appleton Thorn Village Hall on Stretton Road is a former winner of the CAMRA National Club of the Year winner on multiple occasions and its independently brewed ales saw it make the Guide once again.
Finally, the Guide added an entry from Warrington that had never been featured before, with the Red Lion on London Road making its debut.
These pubs, and more across Warrington and Cheshire, are all listed in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide 2025, which can be bought here.
