AN inquest to explore the death of a Warrington man in Dubai has been further adjourned by a coroner.
The case of Jerrerd Winstanley, who is the subject of a murder probe, was heard again at Warrington Coroner’s Court on Wednesday.
He was found dead in a luxury apartment in the Damax Hills area of the United Arab Emirates city on September 29, 2022, aged 30.
A medical examiner in Dubai concluded that Mr Winstanley, of Latchford, died of ‘multiple injuries’.
His body was repatriated to the UK, where a Home Office pathologist confirmed the Dubai medical examiner’s conclusion.
This was following a post-mortem examination at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
Mr Winstanley was formally identified from his passport while still in Dubai.
At the hearing on Wednesday, a further adjournment was requested due to a police investigation remaining ongoing into Mr Winstanley’s death.
This was approved by Victoria Davies, area coroner for Cheshire, who set a new review date for November 25.
The Warrington Guardian has previously contacted Dubai Police for an update on the investigation, with no response received.
