A WARRINGTON mum who became a viral sensation with a million followers will be bringing her new tour to Parr Hall next year.
Sophie McCartney, who lives in Grappenhall, is an award-winning comedian who swapped her career in PR for one in entertainment.
The mum-of-three began her journey to becoming a ‘mumfluencer’ in 2017, when her parody of Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You went viral.
The video about parenthood, sleepless nights and Dairylea was created to entertain Sophie and her friends, but soon propelled her to internet stardom and has been viewed millions of times on Facebook and YouTube.
Sophie, who has one million followers on Facebook, has since scooped the Funny Women Award for Best Comedy Series 2020 and was hailed the ‘funniest mum on Instagram’ by Mother and Baby.
In 2022, she released her first book Tired and Tested: The Wild Ride into Parenthood which went to number one in the Sunday Times Bestsellers List and was shortlisted for Book of the Year.
Then, last year Sophie launched her weekly podcast, Tired and Tested with Sophie McCartney, which soared to the top five podcast comedy charts after just one episode.
Sophie will now return to the stage with her new tour, One Foot in the Rave, which will make its way to Warrington in May.
