A LATCHFORD school is the first in Warrington to be honoured with an award praising its ‘outstanding contributions to physical education’.
Staff and pupils at Latchford St James CE Primary celebrated after hearing the news that they had been awarded the Gill Parry ‘Best Practice in Physical Education’ award.
School head Andy Hayes and PE lead Hannah Lea accepted the award at the North Western Counties Physical Education Association awards night on September 14 on behalf of the school.
And PE and school sport lead Beccy Cresswell also attended the event to celebrate the fantastic achievement.
The award celebrated the school’s efforts and achievements in PE, school sport and physical activity.
In a post on social media celebrating the win, a spokesperson for Latchford St James said: “Only the best for our LSJ pupils.
“All children have the RIGHT to relax, play and take part in a wide range of cultural and artistic activities.”
Meanwhile positive comments flooded in on the thread, congratulating the school and PE lead Hannah for the ‘amazing work’ and ‘dedication’ taken to achieve the honour.
