POPULAR American burger chain Wendy’s has closed its Warrington location.
Founded in 1969 in Columbus, Ohio, the fast-food business is well known across the world – but people may not have known it operated a kiosk in Warrington.
This was based in Gravity Social, which can be found at Time Square in Warrington town centre.
However, after just over a year, Wendy’s will no longer be operating out of the interactive games bar due to financial reasons.
This has been confirmed by Gravity Social, which says it is working on a new menu that is to be launched soon.
The menu will continue to include 800 Degrees Pizza, which can be enjoyed alongside interactive darts, pool, shuffleboard and beer pong at the venue.
A Gravity Social spokesman said: “‘Wendy’s gave an amazing food offering to our customers, and the heritage, vibe and food suited Gravity Social.
“Unfortunately, our partners who manage the Wendy’s franchise decided that from a financial point of view, it was not working for them.
“As a family-focused entertainment centre, we want to be able to ensure that we can offer an affordable food offering to everyone.
“As such, we will be creating a new menu which will be live soon.”
