A ROAD closure is in place on the East Lancs Road this morning due to concerns for the safety of a man.
Police were called this morning, Wednesday, September 18 at around 7.15am and a road closure is now in place on the East Lancashire Road bound from City Road while the incident is being dealt with.
Avoid the area if possible.
In a statement police said: "We can confirm that a road closure is in place in St Helens due to an incident this morning, Wednesday 18 September.
"At around 7.15am, officers were called to the East Lancashire Road in St Helens following the concern for the safety of a man.
"A closure is now in place on the East Lancashire Road Liverpool bound from City Road while we deal with this incident.
"Please avoid the area if possible and thank you for your patience"
