THE latest series of a popular Sky Max comedy drama that was filmed on the streets of Warrington is set to be released tonight, Thursday.
It has been confirmed that season 6 of Brassic, a comedy based around a group of friends who live in a northern town and follows the chaotic lives they lead, will air next Thursday (September 26) on Sky Max and NOW TV.
Fans of the show in Warrington were delighted to receive the news earlier in the year that filming of the series would partially take place in areas of the town, including one residential street in Orford.
Sky film crews took over Tomlinson Avenue back in January, with characters of the popular show, including lead role Vinnie O’Neil – played by actor Joseph Gilgun – visible on the street film set.
He along with other famous faces interacted with residents and fans of the show during the days of filming, with many fans posting selfies and enjoying warm interactions with the characters.
Other locations in Warrington used for filming scenes in the latest series included Orford Park and Long Lane.

Primary cast members are expected to return for the season with main character Erin, played by Michelle Keegan, among those to be included in the latest story line.
The official summary for season 6 reads: "After an epic end to the last season, the gang are back with as much wild adventure and hilarity as ever."
"Reeling from the explosive encounter with Manolito, they set about getting their lives back in order."
"Only now the landscape is changing, people are getting older and the question of growing up looms in the air."
It continues: “Season six is a madcap journey involving man-eating crocodiles, bigamists and a naked cult."
"The MacDonaghs are creating trouble again, stepping it up a gear as they get high on new-found power."
"And amongst all this, we're taken on an emotional roller coaster, with some heartfelt goodbyes and new love interests on the horizon."
If you haven’t yet watched Brassic yet, four seasons have only recently been uploaded to Netflix and the series is trending on the top ten most watched on the streaming platform.
Keep an eye out for familiar locations when watching the brand new series.
