A NUMBER of road closures have been confirmed ahead of Warrington Running Festival 2024, which will see thousands take part this weekend.

On Sunday, Warrington Running Festival will return once again for its fourth year, after more than 6,000 runners took part last year.

RunThrough, which organises the event, is the UK’s and Europe’s fastest-growing running events company.

This year’s festival will feature a 5k, a 10k, a half marathon and a junior’s race, all of which will be in aid of St Rocco’s Hospice.

“We are incredibly excited to bring back the Warrington Running Festival,” said Ben Green, co-founder of RunThrough.

“It’s always a joy to see the community come together to support such a worthy cause like St Rocco’s Hospice.

“Whether you’re aiming for a personal best or simply enjoying the festive atmosphere, there’s something for everyone at this event.”

After a quick lap around Victoria Park, they’ll head along Black Bear Park and the Trans Pennine Trail.
