DESIGNS have shown the futuristic looking village home that could be built if plans are approved.

Modern impressions have been created as part of a planning application that has been submitted to Warrington Borough Council.

This is for the proposed demolition of an existing dwelling on Dane Bank Road in Lymm, and the erection of a new dwelling in its place.

The existing, two-storey dwelling was built in the 1960s and is set back from Dane Bank Road, accessed by a private driveway shared with the adjacent property.

Planning documents state: “The applicant proposes the demolition of the existing dwelling within the site and its replacement by a new dwelling, with a similar footprint as the existing dwelling.

“As a fundamental premise, the proposal is to seamlessly integrate the dwelling within the topographical and environmental context of the site, ensuring harmonious alignment with the surrounding landscape.

“The proposed dwelling comprises a leisure area on the ground floor and two rooms, with the main multi-functional living area for kitchen, dining and lounge connected to an external patio above.

“The top floor is reserved for a master bedroom and a guest room.

“Externally, a new landscape seeks to create a harmonious and site-responsive solution, using the site’s natural characteristics.”

The application is currently with Warrington Borough Council’s planning department, with a decision to be made in due course.
