SCHOOL leavers will be able to take a glimpse at what is on offer at Warrington & Vale Royal College soon.

The technical college will be opening its doors in October to allow pupils the chance to find out all about the courses and apprenticeships available at the setting.

One of the first of many open evenings set to take place at the college will take place on Wednesday, October 9 between 5pm and 8pm.

Attendees will be able to explore state-of-the-art facilities, meet industry-expert tutors and discover the specialist training academies that are housed at the college’s two campuses.

Following over £13 million in recent investment, these academies provide young people with the essential skills required for careers in the most in-demand employment sectors.

These innovative academies include the Advanced Creative & Digital Skills Academy, two Health & Social Care Academies and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Academies at both Warrington & Winsford campuses.

Set to launch later this year, there will be a Business & Professional Academy, Construction & Civil Engineering Academy and a Life Sciences Academy at Winsford campus’ new Institute of Technology, all equipped to blaze the trail of training the next generation of skilled workers in their sectors.

The setting provides courses ranging from entry level to level 3 and T Level qualifications, which are equivalent to three A Levels.

All of the courses on offer at the college focus on providing students with industry-relevant, knowledge and behaviours they need to succeed in their first choice of career.

With strong connections with hundreds of employers, the college’s partnerships provide opportunities for students to take part in live briefs, attend industry placements and gain invaluable experience to ensure they leave college ready for the world of work or higher education.

As well as an expansive range of full-time courses for school leavers, the college offers a variety of apprenticeships, including the likes of accountancy, hairdressing, construction, HR and much more.

With its very own Apprenticeship Matching Service, the college became a top 10 FE provider for apprenticeship success in 2024 and has been recognised for the high-quality education they provide apprentices alongside their employment.

Another open day event will take place on Wednesday, November 6, followed by another on November 20.

There will also be an open evening at Winsford campus on Tuesday, November 26 where the soon-to-launch Institute of Technology (IoT) will be showcased in an exclusive first-look event.
