POLICE have named a man arrested at Heathrow Airport in connection with a pub burglary.

Terence John Adams, of Normans Lane in Whitley, has been charged with one count of burglary other than a dwelling.

The 37-year-old was arrested by Cheshire Police officers as he prepared to board a flight at Heathrow Airport on Wednesday (September 11).

This came after police received reports of a burglary at the Top House in Winsford on Sunday (September 8).

The victim said an unknown offender had forced entry into the Wharton Road pub at around 1.45am and stolen a large quantity of crash.

Following Adams' arrest Detective Constable Lara Hill, who is leading the investigation, said: “We treat all reports of burglary extremely seriously and as this case demonstrates we will travel the length and breadth of the country to ensure that those responsible for committing such offences are held responsible for their actions.“

Adams has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court later today, Friday, September 13.
