VARIOUS roads across Orford are set to be closed temporarily for resurfacing work.

Warrington Borough Council has published a Road Traffic Regulation Act notice imposing a temporary prohibition of driving and clearway.

This is on the entire lengths of Hughes Avenue, Dorothea Street, Dudley Street, Halsall Avenue, Hunter Avenue, Roscoe Avenue and Warren Road.

It will also be in force on Mortimer Avenue, from the junctions with Lathom Avenue and West Avenue; Dudley Street, for the full length of the rear alleyway to numbers four and 74; and Hale Street, from the junctions with Longford Street and Fitzherbert Street.

Neville Avenue, from the junction with Park Road to adjacent to number 160, and from the junction with Park Road to adjacent to number 32, will also be resurfaced, along with Sandy Lane, from the dead end adjacent to number 74 to the junction with Tennyson Drive.

The Order will be effective from October 7 for nine weeks, between 8.30am and 5.30pm, as and when signed on site.

A spokesman for the council said: “The restrictions are required for road or footway surfacing.”
