A CHARITY comedy bingo night will take place at Warrington Market this month.
The event is being organised by Warrington Youth Zone, a state of the art facility for the town’s young people aged between seven and 19 and up to 25 for those with additional needs.
Cookhouse Comedy Club host and Southport Comedy Festival head honcho Brendan Riley will take the reins for a night of madcap fun, blurring traditional bingo with a lively comedic twist.
Sarah Brennan, supporter engagement lead from Warrington Youth Zone, said: “Warrington Market is known for hosting a wide range of pop-up events and for supporting community projects.
“Earlier this year the traders climbed Snowdon in Wales, raising a significant amount of money for both Claire’s House Hospice and Warrington Youth Zone, so who better to work with for our next fundraiser.
“We are thankful to the market team and the traders for their ongoing support and appreciate the amazing generosity of many local businesses who have kindly donated fantastic prizes for our bingo winners, including Halliwell Jones Mini, Vimto, Cineworld, Kenji, Parr Hall, EE, Tesco and Yankee Candle Golden Square.”
The comedy night will take place on September 19.
