TWO children’s books written by a boyband icon are being transformed into original and interactive shows – and are coming to Warrington next year.
Tom Fletcher, who found his fame in beloved boyband McFly, has turned his hand to writing a series of children’s books.
Over the past decade, he has become one of the UKs most popular children’s authors and now, two of his creations will be transformed into interactive plays.
There’s a Monster in Your Show has been adapted from his successful book series, Who’s in Your Book.
The 50-minute adventure will be making its way to Warrington next year and has been designed for young children.
“I’m so excited to see There’s a Monster in Your Book come to life on stage,” said Tom.
“The whole journey is incredibly exciting, and I can’t wait to get to rehearsals to meet the puppets.
“Theatre is such an important way to introduce children to the arts and There’s a Monster in Your Show is the perfect first theatre trip for pre-schoolers and their families. I’m so looking forward to seeing their reactions first-hand.”
The show follows a group of performers who are preparing to start their performance, but find they are not alone on stage.
It will be heading to Parr Hall on April 26 and 27 next year, just a few months before another one of Tom’s books hit the stage.
In October, The Dinosaur That Pooped A Rock Show will also be heading to Warrington after being adapted from the bestselling books written by Tom and bandmate, Dougie Poynter.
Featuring new songs by the duo, the performance will follow Danny and Dino who try to get the last tickets to their favourite bands final concert.
The new stage version is being brought to life by Mark Thompson Productions, and will be at Warrington’s Parr Hall on October 27, 2025.
Tickets for both shows are available now and can be purchased on Parr Hall’s website or by calling the box office on 442345.
