A POWER cut has hit parts of north Warrington this evening, Friday.
Scottish Power says they were made aware at 4.42pm of the cut which has hit Winwick.
Residents have reported the traffic lights on Winwick Road at the M62 roundabout as being off.
A spokesman said: "Our control centre will attempt to reset the network remotely to restore power in stages, and our emergency response team are on their way to the area to investigate the cause of the fault.
"Our team will work to get your power back on as quickly and as safely as possible, and we expect the power to be restored by 7pm.
"Once they arrive, or when we receive any update regarding the cause, we will be able to provide you with more information. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
Postcodes affected include WA11AA, WA2, WA28HD, WA28HJ, WA28QN, WA28RD, WA28RS, WA28RW, WA28TE, WA28TR, WA28XA, WA28XB, WA28XD, WA28XE, WA28XF, WA28XG, WA28XH, WA28XJ, WA28XL, WA28XN, WA28XP, WA28XQ, WA28XS, WA29RS, WA29TN, WA29TW, WA51AA.
