PAUL and Becky Warburton opened Ryfields Gym eight years ago as an alternative to “normal gyms”.
The couple wanted to create a quiet workout space for people wanting to start their fitness journey without the pressures of working out in front of regular gymgoers.
This is why Ryfields Gym has been voted Warrington’s Best Gym for the third year in a row.

Twelve top gyms made Warrington’s shortlist in the latest Best of 2024 category and Ryfields Gym came out on top making it a hat-trick of titles.
Paul and Becky Warburton opened Ryfields Gym inside Ryfields Village in Orford in October 2016.
Paul, who is 40, said: “We’ve tried to create a gym which works for people who don’t like normal gyms.
“It’s always really quiet and there’s plenty of space to workout without needing to queue for equipment.
“It’s easy to ask for help, safe and comfortable and we don’t tolerate posers anytime of the day or night.
“We also don’t lock members into restrictive contracts.
Paul is a military fitness instructor and running a fitness business is important to him.
He’s been in the industry for almost 15 years and ran Warrington Bootcamp for six years before taking on Ryfields.
Becky, who is 42 and was born and raised in Warrington, said: “Health and fitness is something everyone should be focused on.
“Unfortunately, not everyone is though.
“Ryfields Gym exists now to make it a little bit easier for those who choose to start.
“Every gym has things which make them unique and we all have an ideal type of client.
“We look for members who really don’t like the big gyms.
“We have no scary equipment or bodybuilders sat in the corner.
“We don’t have queues for equipment or harsh music blasting all day and we don’t have cameras everywhere with influencers filming themselves.
“It’s a small family run gym for people looking to get started on their fitness journey.”
Paul said: “It’s so quiet at Ryfields.
“It’s scary getting started and feeling like you’re going to look silly in front of loads of people. “We don’t have that problem.
“Aside from the gym space, our classes are just brilliant.
“Becky runs 10 classes each week helping people have fun, exercise and build friendships.”
What do customers think about Ryfields Gym? Why did they want the gym to win our latest Best of 2024 award?
One gymgoer said: “It’s superbly equipped, airy and clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly.”
Paul and Becky love the Best of competition run by the Warrington Guardian and this is the third time Ryfields Gym has been in the running for Warrington’s Best Gym.
Paul said: “We love this competition.
“It’s our third time in the running and we’re buzzing that our members still enjoy coming enough to vote for us.
“We were delighted to hear that we’ve.
“It’s amazing to get the recognition and it’s nice that lots of new people get to see us advertised.
“It goes without saying that we’re very grateful to our members for all their support over the past six years.
“We’re thrilled to win this award for the third time.”
