CONTRACTS for catering and bar provision at an ‘exceptional venue’ which attracts more than 300,000 visitors per year are set to be awarded.
A report on indoor and outdoor catering and bar provision within Walton Hall and Gardens will come before the council’s cabinet at its meeting on Monday.
It will advise members on the outcome of the recent procurement exercise to award contracts for the provision of indoor and outdoor catering and bar provision within Walton Hall and Gardens.
The cabinet is recommended to accept the final tenders for the provision of indoor and outdoor catering and bar provision within Walton Hall.
The report says: “Walton Hall and Gardens is one of Warrington’s most valued parklands.
“Set across 32 acres, the estate offers a diverse range of recreational activities for all members of the community.
“Given the high regard with which the park is held regionally, our goal is to gain national recognition for this exceptional venue through continuous investments and improvements.
“Walton Hall and Gardens attracts more than 300,000 visitors per annum and each year hosts a series of events that attract visitors from across the region.”
The report also says the council is seeking to establish a ‘long-term yet dynamic resolution’ regarding the catering services offered at Walton Hall estate – and that this involves ‘three separate procurement lots, each catering to different aspects of the estate’.
Furthermore, it says the council aims to contract with a number of concessionaires who ‘share its passion for continuous improvement, customer service and a high-quality, affordable experience for all visitors’.
