CHRISTMAS is on its way as shops in Warrington begin stocking the shelves with decorations – but is it too early?
Although summer has only just ended, and autumn is just beginning, some shops are already brining out the baubles and tinsel.
With more than 100 days to go, rows of decorations have been spotted in the new Home Bargains, at Junction Nine Retail Park, including giant Santas and gingerbread men.
Baubles in nearly every shade and shimmering tinsel are out and ready to be taken home to cover your tree. Lights, giant bows and wreaths are also already on sale.
If you’re getting ahead of your Christmas shopping, a variety of wrapping paper has also been added to the shop floor, alongside name tags.
It’s not just Home Bargains that is preparing for the festive season, though, as Hobbycraft has added a Christmas Making section to the shop ready for wintery arts and crafts.
Customers can buy a wooden advent snowman to create their own calendars for the Christmas countdown, or even find some materials to make their own wreath.
