A HOUSEHOLD name will be making an appearance on a Warrington-based radio station this week.
Record-breaking producer Pete Waterman recently visited Cheshire Mix 56 for a chat which will air on Saturday at 10am.
Trains and Tunes is a two-hour special that will focus on Pete’s career and the artists he discovered.
The Whitley resident will also discuss with presenter Paul Smith his early days as a DJ, meeting Mike and Matt, and working with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley, Bananarama and Donner Summer.
As well as chatting about the music business, Pete will also share his love for railways and steam engines.
Paul said: “I can’t wait to share our chat, what an amazing man.
“We spoke for more than three hours and Pete also reveals his favourite songs and which artists inspired his career.
“He is still as busy as ever working on a new Steps musical and a new series for Netflix teaming up with his old friend Simon Cowell in search of the next new boyband.
“It’s a nostalgic look back and some of the stories are just fantastic.”
Trains and Tunes will broadcast on Cheshire Mix 56 on Saturday at 10am to 12pm.
It will then be available as a listen again for 30 days.
Listen online at mix56.co.uk, Smart Speaker, App and DAB.
