THE final house has been sold in a phase of development on land formerly occupied by RAF Burtonwood airbase.

Taylor Wimpey North West is celebrating the completion of what it calls a ‘new community’ after successfully completing the sale of its final home at its Aldon Wood development.

Since opening Aldon Wood has brought 180 new homes to Omega, each designed with modern living in mind and to fit in with the suburban community of Great Sankey.

Throughout construction, Taylor Wimpey has been an active supporter of good causes, initiatives and projects in the area.

Most recently a £500 donation was made to help 25 disabled or disadvantaged children to attend the 2024 Warrington Circus Starr show, to help them create magical memories with their families.

Taylor Wimpey also provided support to the Magic Breakfast partner school, St Ann’s CE Primary School, to deliver an aspiration day workshop, giving year six pupils an insight into the various career paths within a company.

In addition, Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals Charity received funding of £800 towards the building of a sensory room, furniture and internal decor for children with special complex needs.

Jennifer Burns, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey North West, said: “The successful completion and sell-out of Aldon Wood is a significant milestone for us at Taylor Wimpey.

“We are incredibly proud of the vibrant community we have created here, and it has been a pleasure to see families settle into their new homes.

“Our commitment to enhancing the community extends beyond building homes.

“We are deeply invested in supporting good causes and initiatives, and it is heartwarming to see the positive impact we have made through our donations and community projects in Warrington.”
