YEAR 11 students at Sir Thomas Boteler High School are now ‘one step closer to their future dreams and ambitions’ after celebrating their GCSE results.
Anxious pupils arrived at the school yesterday morning to collect envelopes containing their results.
After revising for their exams, the students saw great achievements after all their hard work.
“We are very proud of all our year 11 students,” said head teacher Beverley Scott-Herron.
“Our students have achieved both personal and academic goals and they are now one step closer to their future dreams and ambitions.
“They have emerged with success and with the knowledge and understanding that they have the toolkit to achieve whatever their aspirations are for the future.”
Among the high achievers were Collete Chau, Zaid Muzafar, Oliver Humphreys-Maire and Ryan Davison who all received a suite of 7-9 grades.
“There were many more amazing performances as success looks different for every individual child and we will be ensuring that everyone is praised for their efforts and achievements over the next few weeks,” said Beverley.
“Our young people are an absolute credit to our Boteler Family, and they know that they will continue to be supported by us as they begin their next steps in life.
“Their hard work and results are testimony to their dedication and commitment as they never gave up and always found solutions to move forward. They always worked with us and knew that we believed in them.
“These amazing young people have been with us for five years and it has been a privilege to play even a small part in their development. “
One of the happy students celebrating their results was Rubi Quirk, who earned a merit, four 4s, three 3s and a 6.
“I was nervous but now I’m so relieved,” she said.
“I’m going to celebrate with my friends at a party tomorrow.”
