AN inquest into the death of a Great Sankey care home resident has been formally opened due to ‘care concerns’.
Jacqueline Tupling, who was a resident at Whittle Hall Care Home on Littledale Road in Great Sankey, died on August 7.
The inquest into her death was formally opened at Cheshire Coroner’s Court on Wednesday.
The court heard that Ms Tupling, who suffered from dementia, was admitted to Warrington Hospital after she was knocked to the floor by another resident.
Her condition deteriorated while in hospital, and she died aged 79.
An inquest into her death has been requested due to ‘care concerns at the home’.
Senior Coroner for Cheshire, Jacqueline Devonish opened and adjourned the inquest in order for further work to be completed.
The full inquest will be heard at Cheshire Coroners’ Court, on Museum Street, on February 4.
