A SOCIAL media influencer and mental health advocate from Grappenhall has been nominated for a national award.
Rebecca McAllister, who has more than 140,000 followers on Instagram, creates content with brands such as Playboy, Adidas and Lacoste.
The 34-year-old, who is from Grappenhall, has also founded a community foundation to help raise awareness for mental health issues.
The 4Mindz Foundation, which was set up in 2020, aims to raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention due to Rebecca’s own struggles with mental health.
The foundation also has a podcast, which was started three weeks ago, which discusses mental health issues, such as bipolar disorder.
Rebecca has now been nominated for the Upcoming Influencer Award at the National Social Media Awards, which will take place on October 23 at Porchester Hall in London.
“I was overwhelmed, as I wasn’t expecting the nomination,” she said.
“I am humbled and honoured to be nominated for a National Social Media Award.
“This recognition means so much for the hard work put into everything I do and for the mental health support within the 4Mindz Foundation.”
At the awards ceremony, Rebecca will share the red carpet with Love Island stars Tom Clare and Molly Smith, as well as TikTok influencer, Spud Man.
