LYMM Rugby Club has helped students in Kenya with new kits.

The club donated 40 rugby shirts to St John’s secondary school in Ribe, a poor rural area of Kenya not far from Mombasa.

This was part of a parcel of sports equipment that included hockey sticks, hockey shirts, trainers and training tops.

The organisation, EducAid Africa based in Solihull, is a small charity dedicated to improving the educational opportunities for young people.

It is supported by individuals, schools and church groups who sponsor students in secondary schools and college or university, and raises funds for books and equipment for schools and nursery classes.

The charity makes a difference to the lives of the young people who would otherwise not be able to afford such an education.

"On behalf of Lymm Rugby Club, I am delighted we have made a small contribution to this school in Ribe and EducAid Africa," commented David Simpson, Chairman at Lymm RFC.

"'It is great that this kit will be enjoyed further, and I wish them all every success, both on the field and off it," he concluded.
