PADGATE Library will close for two days later this month while a boiler is installed.
It will shut on Tuesday, August 27 and Wednesday, August.
It is part of a larger project to install heat pumps at Padgate Academy, which is part of the same complex.
As part of the works, power to the whole site needs to be isolated, including the library.
It is expected to reopen as usual at 10am on Thursday, August 29.
A council spokesman said: "We apologise for the inconvenience the library’s temporary closure may cause."
Any fines incurred due to the disruption will be waived. All other libraries in the town will open as normal.
