TODAY Sankey Street is very different from what it was in the past.
Pedestrianised, it leads into Golden Square Shopping Centre and boasts cafes and food places.
The Hive, inside the former Co-op building, it helping to bring it back to life with small businesses thriving.
However this week, we are travelling back to the 1970s.
The it was one of Warrington's busiest streets. Open to traffic as well as pedestrians, it was home to the likes of Marks and Spencer, complete with glass false front, Woolworths and White Sports, which would later move into the market.
