A MUSIC producer who started his career as a teenager at home in Lymm has created his own record label.
Bill Blunt, 19, began his music career inside his bedroom at home in Lymm, studying and producing music that amassed millions of streams.
By the time he turned 16 he had various instrumental tracks worldwide across multiple streaming platforms.
The former Lymm High School student went on to launch Rombo Records, a record label that is now based in Manchester and earlier this year signed an up-and-coming rapper called Driz.
“As well as being a place where I can put my skulls and passion to work, Rombo Records will help build both a fanbase and a career for up-and-coming unsigned artists,” said Bill.
“I was immediately struck by Driz’s lyrical talent the first time we met and I’m excited for people to hear the music we’ve been working on together.”
Driz, who performs as DrizorDV, covers multiple sub-genres of rap, R&B and Afrobeat, and is influenced by the gospel and African music played in his Nigerian Christian household.
The duo met in 2022 and have been working on 25 tracks together and are releasing Driz’s debut single, Olé, on August 11, which will be available on music streaming platforms.
“I feel bless to have been given this opportunity by Rombo Records to showcase to the world something I have a love and passion for, which is music,” said Driz.
