A PROVISIONAL licence holder has been reported by police after being stopped.
It comes after officers from Cheshire Police’s special constabulary team stopped the driver of a white Ford Puma on Sunday evening.
The driver claimed he was driving the motability car to buy a fishing magazine.
However, checks revealed that he was only a provisional licence holder and was unsupervised at the time, with the driver being reported and the car being seized.
The force’s special constabulary team said: “On Sunday night, SC Hendry stopped this car in Warrington.
“The driver claimed to be out buying a fishing magazine. Instead of fish, he caught the police’s attention.
“The driver was a provisional licence holder and unsupervised, so the car was seized, the driver was reported and motability was notified for misuse of a vehicle.”
