AN independent store in Warrington town centre is to close sadly after more than a decade in business.

Sue Webster, the beloved owner of Assortment Boutique, has announced she has made the difficult decision to retire.

The store, which is based on Horsemarket Street, boasts an ‘eclectic mix of all things fashion and home’.

Customers, who shared their sadness at the closure on the business’ social media page, will be able to grab a bargain before the closure.

On the Assortment Boutique Facebook page, Sua said: “As you all know, I have just turned the big 60 and have had the most amazing time celebrating, with celebrations still ongoing.

“However, with reaching this milestone and ongoing health issues, it has made me realise that it is now time to say goodbye, for me to retire from Assortment Boutique, and just chill.

“It has not been an easy decision, but it is what is best for me at this time in my life.

“It has been an amazing journey with you all, and it has been a pleasure working with my girl, the amazing Chelcie, who has been with me from the beginning.

“She has been a vital part of Assortment, and the laughs we have both had will stay with me forever.
