A NEW management team is "delighted" to have taken over a landmark pub as they plan to relaunch the boozer back into the community.
As previously reported, the Newmarket pub in Earlestown closed down on Sunday, July 21, following a dispute between the pub company and the previous tenants.
With the previous landlords moving onto another venue, Trust Inns put the pub up for lease and Luxe Hospitality Group has since been named as the new managers of the Market Street pub.
Led by Daniel Thompson and Georgie Will, Luxe Hospitality was founded in November after Daniel's previous experience managing hospitality venues for an investment company.
Daniel, who launched the Ava-Marie Foundation following the loss of his newborn daughter, has also drafted in the support of John Helme and Alan Harrison, who will use their industry experience to run the day-to-day operations of the Newmarket.
Luxe Hospitality, which also manages the Orford Hotel in Warrington, has been completing internal improvements at the Newmarket and intends to reopen the pub in mid August.
With the new managers eager to develop the pub's reputation before Earlestown's huge multi-million-pound regeneration plans, the refurbishment will see an improved lounge area as well as new beer pumps, coffee, and soft drinks at the bar.
The management team will also install a new pool table and a "state of the art" music system to allow pubgoers to choose their own tunes through a QR code.
There are also long-term plans bring live entertainment such as quiz nights, live music, and themed events.
Georgie, admin manager for the group, said: “We are delighted to have added the Newmarket to the Luxe Group, and will spend the next few weeks refurbishing the pub before launching the pub back into the local community.
"We are considering all aspects of the pub and want to make the pub inclusive for all.
"We hope that the local community will support us in this venture and we look forward to welcoming everyone through the doors."
Daniel, director and owner of Luxe Hospitality Group, thanked Trust Inns and the local community for their support in the group's new venture.
Luxe Hospitality Group will also support Ava Marie Foundation and assist with the opening of the Child Bereavement Hub, located on Market Street.
