A PROLIFIC offender has been ordered to pay each of his victims compensation after he drunkenly assaulted three people in Warrington.

Ainsley White, of Lilford Avenue, appeared in Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday after he was found guilty of three counts of assault.

On February 26 2023, an altercation inside Bridges pub on Bridge Street took place close to the bar, where White had been restrained.

A member of the public was said to have been asked to get door staff and said she felt a push to the left side of her face, which caused her to bang her head on the door frame.

Prosecution for the case, Mr Woodward, told the court that White had started throwing punches towards the door staff when he made contact with their face and caused a bust lip.

The punch had also caused the member of staff to have blurred vision after a punch to the side of their head.

White, 39, was then escorted out of the bar, where he continued to argue with people outside.

He was arrested and charged with two counts of common assault which he pleaded not guilty to on July 4 last year.

Then on July 16 2023, Cheshire Police were called at around 5.50am to Academy Way after an altercation had taken place between White and a member of the public.

Mr Woodward told the court that White had spat towards a member of staff and proceeded punch them, making contact with them but leaving no injury.

White also pleaded not guilty to the offence but was found guilty of all three assaults after his trial on June 21 this year.

The 39-year-old has 33 previous convictions for 68 offences, 12 of which were offences against a person, including in 2022 when he was given a 12-month community order after he hit a woman in a pub in St Helens.

Defending, Mr Schooler told the court that since both the incidents White’s life had ‘changed quite significantly’ after he had a heart attack and ended up in a coma.

“Since that time, he has been making his own efforts to stop drinking and taking drugs,” said Mr Schooler.

“He said to me that he really needed help because he knows that he can’t do it on his own.

“He said that he has no intention of ever going out in the town centre of Warrington ever again.”

The court also heard that White had a turbulent upbringing and had served six years in prison in Peru after attempting to smuggle £100,000 worth of cocaine in 2010.

Mr Schooler told the court that after his release, White went on to work in Peru until he returned to Warrington in 2018.

“He wants to focus on his health, work through his probation and get back into the world of work,” said Mr Schooler.

White was sentenced to 18 months community order, including 35 rehabilitation activity days and must undertake a 6-month long drug rehabilitation requirement.

He was also ordered to pay a £120 fine and £100 in compensation to each of his three victims.
