YOUTHS were spotted setting fire to greenery in Lymm last night, Monday.
At around 10.25pm, fire crews were called to Crouchley Lane.
On arrival, they found a small fire at the side of the road.
Firefighters put this out using a hose reel, extinguishing two seats of fire.
But Cheshire Fire and Rescue has now revealed that youths were seen setting fire to the hedgerow here.
The force said that crews spent 40 minutes at the scene, meaning its appliance wasn’t available for more serious incidents.
