TWO motorists have been given a telling-off by police after being caught ‘doing doughnuts’.
Cheshire Police says it has issued two section 59 road traffic notices to drivers stopped in Burtonwood yesterday, Monday.
This came after they were spotted ‘doing doughnuts’ on Lockheed Road – skidding in a circle at high speed.
Section 59 notices are issued to people ‘causing alarm, distress or annoyance to members of the public’ in vehicles.
The force’s Westbrook Police team said: “Two vehicles were issued with a section 59 road traffic notice for doing doughnuts on Lockheed Road.
“If these vehicles are seen or caught driving in an anti-social manner again, the vehicle can be seized at the inconvenience and cost to the driver.”
