A POPULAR swimming facility in Warrington was forced to close this week.

The main pool at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub shut access off to the public on Tuesday due to some technical issues.

Swimmers sessions were cancelled at the widely used pool.

A representative of Warrington Borough Council confirmed that the pool had ‘suffered a temperature fault’ which meant the hub was forced to close the pool for the day.

An engineer was sent to the facility and carried out work to fix the fault.

The pool then reopened the next day at 8am.

Broomfields pool in Appleton is currently closed indefinitely due to a fault.

A spokesperson for the Warrington Borough Council said: “The pool suffered a temperature fault. An engineer responded on the day and fixed the issue, with the pool reopening at 8am the following day."
