A VIOLENT 23-year-old bit a police officer and ripped out a woman’s hair during a ‘persistent assault’ outside a wine bar in Stockton Heath.
Daisy Shacklady, of Brackley Street in Stockton Heath, appeared in Warrington Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Tuesday, after she pleaded guilty to one count of common assault and two counts of assault of an emergency worker.
Police officers attended The Wine Bar, on London Road, on November 26 last year after receiving reports of an assault on a member of staff.
The 23-year-old had ripped chunks of hair from the victim, who was working as door staff, and had scratched her face and neck.
When officers located Shacklady to the rear of The Wine Bar, she appeared under the influence of a substance, the court heard.
When approached by the officers, she proceeded to kick one officer in the stomach and bite the other on the arm and finger, cutting their skin.
Prosecution for the case, Miss Pridding, described the incident as a ‘persistent assault’ to the court.
She was sentenced to a 12-month community order with a up to 20 rehabilitation activity days and must complete 180 hours of unpaid work.
Shacklady, who has no previous convictions, was also ordered to pay a total of £450 compensation to the three victims.
