A GREAT Sankey family-run farm has been named as Food Producer of the Year 2024.

Snoutwood Trotters received the accolade at the Cheshire Life Food and Drink Awards last night, Monday.

The awards, which were held at Carden Park in Chester, are a chance to honour the hospitality industry and to recognise ‘exceptional individuals and businesses’.

The Laburnum Lane farm is owned by couple Rebecca Scott and Liam Tickle and the duo have said they are ‘over the moon’ to have taken home the award.

In an Instagram post, they said: “We just want to take this opportunity to thank every single one of you for your support on our Snoutwood journey.

“Starting out in a gazebo all those years ago, we are proud of everything we have achieved and just overwhelmed that you love what we do and our food so much.

“We say it all the time but we really do have the best customers.

“A huge thank you to all of our family (you know who you are) who constantly muck in alongside their full time jobs & give up their time to help us out, especially @jamesgilgannon and our amazing butcher Paul.”

The farm is popular both in and around Warrington and it supplies several local businesses including Casa Coffee in Penketh, Grill on the Square in the town centre, and Houghton’s Bistro in Rainhill.

Earlier this year, Snoutwood Trotters even appeared on BBC Two as celebrity chefs The Hairy Bikers paid a visit to the farm.
